Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home Obituary

Bobby Earl Smith, 59, beloved husband of Patricia Gail Riley Smith, passed away on July 23, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 9, 1965, in Fort Benning, GA, to Anna Dean Aldridge Smith and the late Eddie B. Smith.

Bobby built a fulfilling career as an Automation Engineer at Montaplast, where he dedicated twelve years of service marked by hard work. Bobby was passionate about restoring hot rods and antique firearms. A proud and active member of the Wheels of Time Car Club and the Bourbon Trail Bombers Car Club, he found joy in community, craftsmanship, and the open road. Known by many as “Mr. Fix-it,” Bobby had a heart for helping others—always willing to lend a hand, solve a problem, or share a laugh.

Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Patty; his children, Ricky Smith (Lori), and Brandy Smith (Danny); his cherished grandchildren, Eli Smith, Tripp Baker, and Mia Smith; and his sister, Sonya Smith.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 23rd from 5:00-9:00 PM at The Woodford, 203 E. Woodford Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.

Memorial contributions can be made to Anderson County Backpack Buddies, 219 E. Woodford Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 or Shelby’s Way,  845 Contract Street, Lexington, KY 40505 or online at Shelby's Way General Fund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. Condolences may be shared at www.ritchieandpeach.com.
