Eugene grew up in my neighborhood and also I went all the way through school with him. He had a wonderful smile and will always admire him for his courage to face life head on. I am so sorry to the family for their loss. We were all blessed by having known him.

Today, Sally and I went back to Riverview to wrap up things, and take a basket of Eugene's flowers. I went to his room and thanked his room mate for alerting the nurses.

Now we begin the process of moving on, but it is so hard, because for Sally and I, it's like losing a son, not just a brother and brother-in-law.
