Boby Mason was born in Carpenter, Mississippi, on October 15, 1947 to Clonie Mae Curtis and L.E. Rodges.  Boby departed from this life on January 24, 2025 at this home.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents L.E. Rodges & Clonie Mae Curtis, Brother; Larry Rodges, Grandson; Elijah Holden, and special cousin; Lola Thompson.


Boby was employed at General Motors, after retirement he started and ran Mason Landscaping with his grandsons until his death.


He leaves to cherish his memory; siblings; Gloria Anderson, Marcella Taylor, Roger Wardlaw, Francine (Lee) Jones, Orman (Suzette) Rodges, and Mark (Pier) Rodges, children; Tranula Holden & Dorthy Mason, bonus children; Renee Brooks, Yolanda (Roosevelt) Tatum, Marcus (Takesha) Ball, grandchildren; Brianna (Cartez) McCullough, Dominique Hardiman, Anton Brooks, JaRelle Brooks, and  Darian Brooks.  He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 


Mr. Mason will lie in repose on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.


Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 11:00am and the service will immediately start at 12:00pm.
