Bonita Edith Lindberg

Bonita Edith Lindberg, age 92, of Brainerd, MN, passed away on July 23, 2014 at her home. Bonnie was born on September 27, 1921 in Brainerd to Cromwell and Grace (Simpson) Stanley. Bonnie married Leslie Lindberg, on December 31, 1941.Together they raised four children, built their family home in Baxter as well as their cabin on Gull River. Bonnie worked for Bredenberg's Grocery and as a Baker at the Brainerd High School. She was known by students and friends for baking the most incredible Carmel rolls. Throughout her life, Bonnie enjoyed bowling, gardening, bingo, bird watching, but mostly spending time with family and friends. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Ladies of the Moose, and Brainerd Senior Center.

Left to cherish Bonnie's memory are her children, Roxanne (Bud) Soderman, of Aitkin, Michael (Mary) Lindberg, of Brainerd, MN; Kristi Lindberg-Duus, of Brainerd, Shari (Lee) Laski, of Oregon, WI; grandchildren, Rhonda Soderman- Strand, Randy (Melanie) Soderman, Rebecca (Joe) Seminari, Laurie (Kris) Nater, Brian Lindberg, Shannon Duus, Arielle Laski, Logan Laski; 11 great grandchildren.; special guardian angels, Doreen & Rich Sellnow; as well as many other friends and neighbors.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Leslie in 2004; brothers, Gerald and Bud; sister, Gwendolyn; and a grandson, Kent Soderman.

A Funeral Service celebrating Bonnie's life will be held on Saturday August 2, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, at 11AM. Visitation will be held on Friday August 1, 2014 from 4-7PM at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home-BRAINERD CHAPEL and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be held Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd, MN.
