Dr. Bonnie Anne Blackwell

I knew Bonnie in high school. I became the Science/Math Lab assistant after she graduated PDHS Grade 13. I worked very hard to maintain her level of professionalism in science department. I lost track of her over the years and I am sorry that I did not get to see some the of the great things that she accomplished. I was always impressed by her ability to see and grasp new concepts so rapidly, and the use them to continue on with the next steps. I hope she will be remember by all who knew her.

I remember Bonnie in high school. She was very driven even back then. She taught swimming lessons and lifeguarded at the pool in Paris, Ontario. Also, she prepared agar plates for chemistry classes at PDHS. She leaves behind a prolific career and legacy which will be remembered by her friends, colleagues and Canadian family. Donna C. I worked with Bonnie at McMaster. I remember her as a very keen scientist always eager to advance our knowledge of human evolution and the beginnings of human culture, She was also a prolific networker, and will be greatly missed for her cheerful hardworking outgoing spirit.
