In addition to being a leader in mathematics education, Bonnie was a wonderful human being. She was both witty and wise and we enjoyed being with her.

Bonnie made many contributions to math education at the national and state levels and especially to UNI. Her contributions will live on through her former students and her work.

Bonnie worked tirelessly for the betterment of mathematics education for her students and, ultimately, the students her students would teach. She set high standards and encouraged her students to attain them. Her legacy continues in mathematics classrooms in schools across Iowa, the mid-west, and the nation.

Bonnie was a leader in mathematics education. She worked behind the scenes to help students in so many ways. She will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bonnie's death. We were both on the UNI faculty. We somehow discovered we were raised in the same area (I'm from Pekin) and became friends. Both Marianne and I send our condolences.

I add my tribute to Bonnie--a colleague at UNI, a fellow member of Delta Kappa Gamma and P.E.O. and most importantly my friend for many years. She made a difference in the lives of so many, who will miss her.
