We Riverside Poly High School friends gathered every year (sometimes 20 women). One highlight was hearing the interesting trips Bonnie took. Her most famous quote was about climbing the Himalayas with oxygen-deprived Westerners, who could hardly take another step. Bonnie was determined to make it. She asked the Sherpa guide how steep the path was. "Similar to straight!" he lied. She kept going. We miss you! Bonnie Selway

I have many fond memories of Bonnie from my childhood on Mathieu Avenue. As an adult it was always a pleasure to run into Bonnie about town and catch up. She was a remarkable person and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in Peace Bonnie. Working with and knowing you was a bright spot in my life. We had some wonderful moments at Fairmont. I've missed you the last few years and will continue to miss you. You leave behind quite a trail of beauty and love of life.

Loved knowing you, Bonnie! So funny and straightforward, you knew she was never altering the truth for the sake of conventionality; she trusted her friends to be able to appreciate the unvarnished realities of life.
