Read MoreBonnie was glue at the old high school in Mattawan. She nicknamed me Smiley because I didn't. Fortunately, she sure made me smile and laugh over the years. She balanced professionalism, good humor, and some nurturing in her role as attendance clerk. She also was very proud of her kids (not only her own but all the wayward students who passed through the office).
