STANTON, Bonnie - Of Flint, age 70, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at More Life Tabernacle, 6340 Lennon Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Jerry Stoner officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to More Life Tabernacle Building Fund. Visitation 5-8PM Monday and 1-8PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Bonnie will be at the church from 12Noon Wednesday until the time of the service. Bonnie was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 2, 1937, the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Saxon) Guthrie. She was a member of More Life Tabernacle. Mrs. Stanton was Supervisor of Nutritional Services at McLaren Regional Medical Center for 29 years, retiring in 1994. Surviving are 2 daughters, Ann and husband Peter Chapman of Traverse City and Michelle Roberts and Paul Carpenter of Flint; 4 step-children, Nancy, Bill, Sue and Michele; 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Celina Roberts; brother, Roy and wife Betty Guthrie of Davison; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruth Guthrie; twin brother, Ted Guthrie; 2 brothers, Ed and Milton Guthrie.
