I remember Deacon Green so well when I used to attend St Louis St Baptist Church. My grandfather, Sam Johnson was a senior deacon there and Dea. Green reminded me so much of him with his mild manners and easy going disposition. I'm just now seeing a previous episode of the 1st 48 and recognized the old neighborhood. RIP Dea. Green

My deepest sympathy to the Green family. I've known him all of my life. He was a very good man. I am saddened of the way he left, but smile because of the way he lived. Rest easy and peacefully.. Mr. B.T. Green. The Cleveland family..

Deacon Green was such a kind man. He was the epitome of what a man should be. I thank God that I had the pleasure of being in his life as church member and neighbor my entire life. I have really been hurt and saddened by his passing.

We shall always cherish the memories of your gentle spirit and a true servant of God. I shall always remember the time we shared together in the Casher Philharmonic Choir. We know that you are still singing up yonder. Peace and comfort to your family. Lena Eaton, Mobile, AL
