Not sure what to say?

Thank You family for letting me be a part of you. I always looked forward to Big Boots coming home late night when I spent the night at your house with little Boots. His stories where the best for a young man that needed stories from a (dad) man. I remember sitting in his trophy room admiring his hobby dreaming of having those life experiences myself. Eating that sugar free candy Mrs. Ellett had around in candy dishes. Thank you so much for decorating the table at the restaurant the...

June and Ellett family,
So sorry to hear about my good friend Boots passing a few weeks ago. Besides memories of great food and good times at the restuarants (both locations), I remember one of many hunting trips Boots and I undertook. One in particular, Boots and I were on the way to go goose hunting on the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge near Decatur. It was still dark and as we were driving down the road, still in Huuntsville, we came upon a large box in the middle of the road. I got out and...

May God be with your family.

Carline and June,
I am so sorry you have lost your dear brother. Murrel and I had many meals at the restaurant. It was always our first choice on Friday night if we could get in without waiting (Murrel just wouldn't wait). I know he will be greatly missed by your families.

Dear Joyce and Family -

From all of us at The ALS Association - Alabama Chapter, we are deeply saddened to learn that Boots has passed away. Boots, and your family was a true inspiration to us, as we watched you all gather together with strength, love, and humor. Boots was a true legend, in many ways! Our love and deepest sympathy is extended to all of you.

To the Ellett Family,
Boots was a friend of my father, Homer Scott. A big man with a good heart, Boots was someone very special. I'll never forget him. You have my deep sympathy.

Joyce, Lynne, and Boots, my thoughts prayers are with you during this difficult time. You are special people and I know your husband and daddy will be missed.
May God keep you in His loving arms. Cherish the wonderful memories.

I can not express how much of my fondest childhood memories are in spending time with the Elletts. From Superbowl parties with Mrs. Elletts creamcheese and mint jelly snacks to the downstairs sleepovers that were the most awesome fun a kid could ask for. I remember my most special birthdays where shirley temples, primerib, and big hug from Boots. Lynn Ellett was my best teenage friend (all of our younglife nights) she undoubtablly, got her kind heart from her father. Little Boots was always...
