Not sure what to say?

I will always remember him with fondness and gratitude for the time we worked together. He was a great man and a wonderful support to me.

Dale and Jean, sorry about your dads passing. I wish that my schedule had allowed me to see you. I was able to go by early and sign the register book, but it was before your family arrived. I pray that you find that peace which passeth understanding.

Chaplain Winterton was a loving, peaceful presence at the VA hospital where I worked with him. The world was a better place with him in it.

Dan and I are so saddened to hear about Boyd's death. Bonnie, please know our love and prayers go out to you and your family. Today is a lucky day in "Heaven".

Chaplain Winterton always stood as an example of kindness to Veterans, to me and to my family. He carried a spirit of peace with him wherever he went, and Bonnie was always at his side. She is his perfect companion.

I so appreciated his care when my Mom, Vona Houtz, was taken ill at a VFW National Convention in San Antonio, TX. Boyd made arrangements to come to the hospital to see her and let her know that she was loved. So like him.

Your family has been a blessing to all...

Boyd was a good guy. I remember him taking time to visit with me when I would come to the house to hang out with one of his boys. Just a mellow dude.

I worked with Boyd at Burroughs when I was a teenager. He encouraged me to go back to college, which I did. He was always so pleasant and kind and such a great example for me. I appreciate those good memories.

We were sorry to hear of Boyd's passing. He was a great friend and a great example to us of a Christlike person. We never heard a negative word from him, and he always had a smile. He was a "lifter," one who lifted those around him. We are serving a mission in Ukraine right now, or we would have been at the funeral to support his wonderful family. We love you, Bonnie!

Bonnie:

So sorry to learn belatedly about Boyd's passing. He was a great man and good friend to me. I very much valued and enjoyed our service in the High Priests Quorum together. Best wishes and heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
