Bradford M. Greene

On the anniversary of his passing, I remember fondly Bradford Greene, my mentor as a young landscape architect, at Clarke + Rapuano in NYC. His knowledge of plants and love of his profession prepared me for a lifetime of joy in landscape design! Always generous with his time and guidance, I cherish the many NYC Parks projects I assisted him on - especially the Alice Austen House on Staten Island. When I hike the glorious Greenbelt, I hear the trees whisper your name. They wouldn't be there without you.

Thank you, Mr. Greene, for your ardent conservation and beautification efforts. You have left an honorable legacy on Staten Island.

Mr. Greene was a true gentleman. While I was Chairman of the Board of the SI Botanical Garden I sought his advice and counsel often. He was most gracious in his support for all of the endeavors at Snug Harbor.
