Not sure what to say?

I was honored to meet Bradley Patterson in 2013. Here is a photo I took that only hints at the extraordinary life he lived.

Mount Weather Mess Card 1955.

Back in March of 2013 Mr. Patterson graciously agreed to meet with me to talk about his time in the Eisenhower administration. I am a Cold War historian who had noticed his name in many documents at the National Archives. He was a very important person in Eisenhower's continuity of government contingency planning. I am fortunate for having the opportunity to have met Mr. Patterson.

Brad Patterson was a very special colleague and friend. He had more energy, enthusiasm for life, and dedication to country and family than most people. I will remember him as an outstanding lecturer for our Western Management Development Center in Denver, Colorado. Brad made the White House come alive to all who heard his words of wisdom. I proudly have signed copies of his books--which are treasures! His zest for life and his love for his family were exceptional. We will greatly miss...

Brad befriended me when I started attending RRUUC in 1995 and encouraged me to become an active member. Later, still in my 50s and planning a Himalayan trek in Nepal, I was astounded to find that Brad, 15 years my senior, and Shirley had just returned from such a trek -- They offered me sound advice. Thanks you two!

Brad's 98th birthday, December 5, 2019

Each of those candles represents part of a life well lived! Thanks, Dad, for setting such a fine example of dedication to family, public service, and adventure. We miss you.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Bradley Patterson Jr. May you be comforted in knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for you. He will give you strength and courage to cope with your grief.
Psalm 94:17-19

My sincere condolences to Brad's family. He was with us at Taos Pueblo, NM in 2010 for the forty year commemoration of the Return of Blue Lake to Taos Pueblo when he was one of the recipients of Taos Pueblo's "Proclamation of Appreciation for Diligent Work in the Return of Blue Lake to Taos Pueblo".
We will remember Brad in appreciation for his involvement that contributed to the return of our Blue Lake lands that we now enjoy as our people had since time immemorial.
