Not sure what to say?

To the LaTourette family. My name is Renee Lampi and worked front desk at Island View Lodge on Gull Lake, Brainerd, Minnesota. I happen to be passing through Kansas City and decided to look you up. Very sorry to hear of Brainerd passing. Gone four years...but not forgotten. Good memories on the lake even after I quit working at the lodge. Visiting when you lived in yellow house & boat rides in your very well recognized wooden boat. Steve and I and our two daughters later lived on Gull...

Brainerd will be missed. Biff, I am sorry for your loss. I just found out about your father's passing yesterday. I hope your family finds peace.

So long my friend and Jester!

No words can express the sadness in the loss of Brainerd. I am grateful for all his help and graciousness. To Nancy and children, I am so sorry for your loss. May God put his hand on you, blessing you and guiding you through this sad time.

Biff & Suzy,

Sorry to learn of the passing of your father. I remember the respect we all had for your dad when we were all in high school. May he rest in peace. God bless.

Col. LaTourette was a wonderful person who led by example. He always took time to discuss issues with the patrol officers. He would ride along with the beat officer to see what they needed and faced while on patrol. He had the ability to communicate to you, he cared about the needs of the officer, agency and community.

Brainerd has been my friend since the time I first became his secretary in 1961. I will miss him. He will be in my daily prayers. My deepest sympathy to Brainerd's family.
Sincerely
