Funeral for Brandie Jake Moody, 32, of Moulton will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Moody passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at Lawrence County Hospital after a long fight with leukemia. He was born October 21, 1978, in Morgan County to Mason Bruce Moody and Lucy Moody. He graduated from Decatur High School and was a member of County Line Church of Christ. His hobbies were bowling, making flower gardens and working with hand tools. He was a collector of model cars and baseball cards. Brandie was kindhearted and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Moody; and his grandparents, J.B. and Mildred Moody and Dyke and Reba Gillespie.

Survivors include his mother, Lucy Moody Mason; brother, Johnny Moody and wife, Celeste; sister, Angela Moody; stepsister, Angela Mason; aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Johnny Proctor; and a whole host of friends and family, Jonathan Davis Moody II, Katie and Elizabeth Moody, Bonnie and Cole Medders, Melba and Matt Moody and Jennifer Riddle.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Moody, Jonathan Moody, Cole Medders, Jason Proctor, Clint Proctor and Jacob Moody.

Honorary pallbearer will be Matt Moody.

Lucy I am thinking about Jake today and you. Hard to believe all these years have passed since I last saw him. I just remember how sweet he was and loved his Mom. God bless you, Angela and Johnny.

Just I pray that you find peace in knowing that he is not hurting anymore, and he is in a much better place than we are.....
