Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Sioux Falls Obituary

John Brandon Browning, known to everyone as Brandon, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 18th 2024 at the age of 47.

Brandon was born on March 29, 1977, in Houston, TX, to Robert Jackson Browning and Mary Johnette (Peairs) Browning. Brandon lived a life full of love and creativity.

Brandon is survived by his devoted parents Robert J. (Jack) Browning and Mary Johnette (Peairs) Browning, his beloved brother Jason Browning, and his cherished daughter Anastasia Diane Abbink-Browning. He is also remembered by his significant other of 17 years, Becca, and their loyal dog, Leo.

After graduating from Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado, Brandon found joy in competitive chess games with his close friends. His career in the service industry allowed him to meet many people and grow a vast group of friends. In his spare time, Brandon was an avid craftsman, finding delight in drawing, creating jewelry, and woodworking.

In his final years, Brandon treasured the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home with Becca and Leo, watching movies together and enjoying each other's company.

Brandon was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Browning; his grandparents, Edward Jackson and Grace Elizabeth (Anderson) Browning, and John Jacob and Rose Mary (Kemp) Peairs, his aunts: Patricia (Browning) Kuil, Carolyn (Peairs) Thompson, and uncle Jimmy Peairs.

Brandon was a man who made friends easily, and he leaves behind many who will miss his gentle spirit and warm smile. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Our family is forever grateful for the prayers and loving support of our friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 3:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home with light refreshments to follow.
