FAYETTEVILLE - Brandon Leigh Godfrey, 21, of 3709 Cherry Blossom Lane, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010. Brandon graduated from South View High School in 2006, where he was a proud member of the Tigers football team. He was currently a student at FTCC majoring in information technology. Brandon was a talented athlete and an avid sports fan. He was also a gifted musician and composer. Most importantly, Brandon had a loving and compassionate spirit, was fiercely loyal to those he loved and possessed a natural charm that was irresistible. He loved deeply, lived passionately, laughed often and dreamed without limits. His family and friends grieve his early passing with shattered hearts, but are comforted in the knowledge that he is with his beloved little sister, Alexa, as well as other family members and loved ones who have passed before him. Brandon is survived by his mother and stepfather, Melinda and John Coleman; father, Jerry Godfrey; sisters, Jheri Godfrey and Candy Godfrey, both of Hope Mills, and Anika Walker and husband James of Villa Rica, Ga.; brothers, Khristopher Godfrey, Miquiel Godfrey, Kevin Morales, Tyler Godfrey and Steven Reed, all of Hope Mills; maternal grandmother, Roselynd Serrano; and a host of loving aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel. Entombment will follow at Rockfish Memorial Park & Mausoleum. Services entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
