Not sure what to say?

Brandon, you are great guy. I remember the day you and Ben came to Belvedere to help Marques move to Charleston. I said to myself that day, what a great guy. How could anyone come to a place and help someone move and have only known that person about a week. But that's what we do. We Fire Fighters stick together and keep the bond strong. It is the kindness in each of our hearts that makes us who we are. You are one of the best Brandon. I will never forget you. I love you brother and I'll see...

TO MY BEST FRIEND, MY BROTHER AND MY HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON. THE DAYS OF HANGING AROUND THE STATION ALL DAY RUNNING CALL AFTER CALL AND HAVING TO WORK ON THE TRUCKS AND STATION BETWEEN EACH ONE. THE LONG NIGHTS OF STAYING OUT ALL NIGHT BEFORE HAVING TO GO TO WORK, BY THE WAY CHIEF RUSTY CALLED ME OUT ON THE SICK TIME. OH, ALL THE GOOD MEMORIES WILL ALWAYS BE KEPT CLOSE TO MY HEART. YOU AND THE OTHER CHARLESTON 9 WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART. I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Continue to trust God and be prayerful.
May you find peace and encouragement.

To the family, loved ones and The
City of Charleston Fire Department,
my deepest and heartfelt sympathy is extended to all of you during this tragic and very sad & difficult time. May God be with all
of you and keep you in his care.
Love from a native Charlestonian.

I remember Brandon as a young child. My girls (Amy & Holly) use to play with Brandon, Frank and Jeff when they were at their Grandma's house during the summer and of course there was that trip to DC with the grade school that I am sure we all have memories of. All of your boys were so nice. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Your family is in our prayers and thoughts. Russ and Susan Gibbs (Pittsburgh, PA)

It's hard to find the words right now. I knew Brandon, Jeff and Frank not only through school but because my husband is one of their fellow brothers. I pray that through God's grace and mercy you will all make it through. Brandon was a good man, friend and firefighter and will be deeply missed. Rachel to you especially if you need to talk please feel free to call or come by. Our door is always open to family.

I didn't know Thompson very well on a personal level; however, I did know his work ethic. I worked with Brandon on many collision scenes and he was always very professional and helpful. I knew if Brandon arrived on scene, I would have all the help I needed. He carried himself like a veteran firefighter/first responder. I know he will be truly missed on the road and in many hearts.

To The Thompson Family,
I knew Brandon from going to station 5 and 10 to visit friends. I will always remember his smile. He went out of his way to smile at you. It will not be the same going to station without seeing his smile. I am a vol firefighter and was called to the scene. When i was told that Brandon was one of the missing my heart broke. Nothing I can say can ease your pain. I know that Brandon and the other 8 are true heroes. I know that they are all in a big fire station in...
