Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the family. It was a privilege to have spent any time with Dr. Alonso. I remember when he and Bebe would visit the school. After her passing, I was even more impressed by his strength. The world may have lost a great man, but it is a much brighter place as a result of his influence.

Braulio was a humble and inspiring man, educator and humanitarian. He made his mark in life and will be remembered always. Vaya con dios, mi amigo.

I worked at the National Education Association (NEA) during the time that Braulio Alonso was on staff. I, too, have fond memories of Braulio Alonso! He was indeed an exceptional person with vision and hope for the future. May his memories live on in those who loved him. Mayor Malinda Miles, Mount Rainier, Maryland

We express deep sadness for ourselves and our community hearing of Mr. Alonso's passing. We are some of the most fortunate people; he was our high school principal at Jefferson HS. We have always remembered Mr. Alonso as our example of dignity and fairness, always challenging us to excel. Many times over the years his name has come up in conversation for all he has done for us. Our sincere sympathy goes to his family and friends.

Braulio and I were long-time friends. He and Bebe were a delight to know. At Christmas he told me of his illness and that he didn't intend to do anything about it. I miss him and think he was one of the finest men I;ve ever known, and one of the most intelligent. What a loss to our country!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Barbara: We were out of town and unable to attend the services for Braulio. Your father was a unique individual and will be missed by everyone who knew him Our deepest smypathy.

To Alonso Family, our deep sympathy on the loss of Braulio. I worked with him at Christ the King Church with St. Vincent de Paul & he taught me many things about helping the poor. God Bless.

Dear Barbara,
I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. He was such an incredible man. I always enjoyed seeing both he and BeBe. We had some great conversations. May he always be thought as a blessing in our lives.
