Brayden Alexander Handy 6, of Port Arthur, TX; passed Jul. 04, 2018.

Services will be July 21, 2018 at Eastern Star Baptist Church 548 15th St, Port Arthur, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Port Arthur, TX.

Brayden was born on July 11, 2011 in Port Arthur, Texas to Tikeshia McCray and Kenneth Handy. Brayden was a first-grade honor student and received numerous academic awards in various areas at Booker T. Washington Elementary.  He loved Super Hero's.  Brayden was extremely close to his mother, often being referred to as a "Mama's Boy."  Brayden loved to read and would often read books to his siblings and other relatives.  He is going to be missed.  Some called Brayden "Bubba."

Brayden was preceded in death by, Grandparents: Tanjulia Hyder and Kenneth Handy, Sr.; Great-grandparents: Cleo McCray, Verna Washington-Pickney, Vincent “Chew” Allen, Sr., Louise Fontenette-Allen, Audrey Jean Hines-Lanes, Janie Ann Handy and Bobby Hyder; Uncles: Troy Handy, Sr. and Ralph Lanes, Jr.; Aunts: Jackie Handy and Sandra Handy; Great Uncle: Calvin Lewis Hyder, and Great Aunt: Marilyn Sinete Allen.

Brayden’s memories will be cherished by his mother: Tikeshia McCray; father: Kenneth Handy; siblings: LaToya Lemelle, Jerron McCray, Kennedi Handy, and Kayden McCray; Grandparents: Glenn McCray, Sr., (Lori); Uncles: Glenn McCray, Jr. (Sterling), Kendrick Handy, Cornell Brown and John Lanes; Aunts: Latisha Pickney-Thomas (Michael), Khritella Joseph, Julia Hickman (Horace), Deidre Lanes, Kenthya Handy, Tameka Hopkins (James) and Sharon Hall (Jeffery); Great–Grandparents: Rosa L. Allen and Audrey Jean Hines; Great Aunts: Alice McCray and Vincentia Moore; Great Uncles: Alfred McCray, Vincent John Allen, Jr. and Leonard Allen: Special Aunt and Uncle: Nina Gail Stelly and Gary Stelly along with a host of relatives of the Washington, Thomas, and Guillory Families.
