Brenda Ann Burns Sims Denby, age 71, of Avon Park, Florida went to be
with the Lord on Saturday December 28, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. Brenda
was born on September 12, 1953, to her parents, Charles and Berneita
Burns (Sloop) in Emporia, Kansas. She was kind and generous and also
 a well respected and appreciated member of her community in her career
as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a resident of Avon Park
and Fort Meade, and a member of the Baptist Faith.

Brenda is survived by her daughters; Jennifer Sims – Avon Park, FL,
Michelle Tickles (Ryan) – Riverview, FL, Cybil Lightsey (Clifford) – Ft.
Meade, FL, son; Aaron Sims (Staci) – Frostproof, FL, brother; Chuck
Burns, - Missouri, and nine grandchildren.
Brenda was loved by many and will be dearly missed.


Memorial services will be held at Stepenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park,
on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with family receiving friends beginning
at noon.

So sorry Brenda passed away. I miss talking to her on the phone very much. She was a very special niece. I Loved her so very much. Looking forward to seeing her in heaven. Maý the lord bless all of her family


I am so sad about this, Brenda was my cousin and she was such a positive and sweet influence in my life. I loved her dearly. All of you kids and grandkids are in my prayers. Wish I could be there but my heart will be.
