Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC - Pen Argyl Obituary

Brenda N Dowd, 63, of Nazareth, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Brenda was the second of three children of Derwood and Nancy Shook. She was born and raised in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, and took great pride in working for Crayola for the past 46 years.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband since 1985, Wayne, her two children who love and miss her so very much Jessica and Eric; her brothers Brian and Barry, and many nieces and nephews. Brenda found such joy in visiting the beach, playing at the casino, dipping her toes into the pool on a warm day and spending time together with her husband every Sunday.

Brenda will be remembered through a viewing service held on Thursday January 27th from 6 PM-8PM and Friday January 28th 10 AM-11AM at Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue,  Pen Argyl with a Memorial Service at 11 AM.  Private burial to follow at Easton Cemetery. Masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to “Lauren’s Hope” a foundation created to help brain injured children; that held a very important home in Brenda’s heart.

Online donation: www.laurenshopefoundation.com or checks can be made out to “Laurens Hope Foundation” and mailed to 2157 West Dell Road, Bath, PA 18014

Worked at Crayola with Brenda for 26 years. She was so sweet, such a wonderful human being. She just loved her family and we always talked about our kids. Gone way to soon. Brenda you were loved by so many.

Brenda-It's almost like yesterday when we first stumbled our way through the scaffolding to begin our careers at the Crayola corporate office opening in 1976. Before we knew it, we were inducted as members of the 25 & 40 Year Clubs. So many memories, but the most treasured ones resulted from our various "lunch bunch" conversations. To Wayne, Jess & Eric-Our thoughts & prayers go out to you for your tremendous loss. Brenda will be greatly missed but warmly remembered by the impact she had...
