Brenda Elaine Gantt

Ms. Brenda Elaine Gantt, 54, of Valdese, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Winston Salem, following a lengthy illness. Brenda was born on January 14, 1960 in Burke County to the late Emery "Bud" Gantt and Lillie Mary Hudson Gantt. She retired from Robinson Hosiery after over thirty years of service in the boarding department to care for her mother and was attending Abee's Grove Baptist Church in Valdese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Gantt and her beloved pet, Otie. Surviving are her four sisters, Barbara Hudson, Diane Huff, Debbie Perry and husband Stanley, and Lisa Webber and husband David. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of which she claimed for her own, and many great friends and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Rudy Hayes and Pastor Scott Evans officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
