Not sure what to say?

I am shocked and saddened to have learned of Brenda's passing just today. She moved right next door to me about six months ago, and we had a few great conversations. She was a bundle of energy and so sweet. I thought it was very strange that I had not seen her out of her house since September 2022. I knocked on her door a couple of times last month to see if she wanted to visit, but there was no answer. This morning while trimming in my front yard I told another neighbor that I was...

I first met sweet Brenda as a volunteer at the SACRAMENTO Children's Home Casa Garden Restaurant. I loved her friendliness and beautiful smile. We would also cross paths when she joined the Florin Japanese American Citizens League and at the ACC Senior Services. I am sorry I won't be able to attend her celebration of life but will be there in spirit. She was a person who had a passion for her volunteerism. I was honored to have worked with her at the Casa Garden Restaurant. My...

Dear Daniel, Priscilla, Gerry and family, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing away of your sweet mom and sister. I last saw Brenda a few months ago at a Celebration of life for our mutual friend Evie. She told me about her health issues and her selling and moving to another place at that time. I have fond memories of spending time with her at my grandparents house for Christmas. In this photo Brenda is in front of Aunt Rose and next to her siblings. I am in front of the her wearing...

Brenda was my chopping partner while volunteered together at Casa Garden Restaurant. She welcomed me warmly when I was a new volunteer and showed me the ropes. She was always laughing and a delight to work beside. I hope her family finds comfort in awareness that even those who knew her only peripherally were touched by her inherent joy.

I was just talking with my sister June about how wonderful and consoling Brenda was to me very recently. I was so happy Brenda joined our family in a little in town Staycation. Your spirit, laughter and kindness will never be forgotten. Condolences to the Joe family and all her loved ones.

Brenda was an authentic, unique and kind person. We were friends at work for many years. Shared many laughs, a few tears and lots of memories! She will be missed. My condolences to the Joe/Fong families.

My deepest condolences to the Joe/Fong families. I worked with Brenda at CalPERS. She was the sweetest kindest soul and always a bright shining smile. She always gave her all and happy to do it. It was a pleasure to work with her. She is part of our CalPERS Family too, we were sisters in That regard and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. God bless you all. Barbara Mazzola

Brenda Fong I worked with Brenda at General Services. She was brilliant and always had a positive spirit.

Dearest cuz, we´ve known each other for more than 40 years. There´s not enough space here to say what a compassionate, kind, wonderful, and lively person you are. You were the first cuz to meet me when Ronnie and I got engaged. I´ll never forget your big smile and warm hug as you welcomed me to the Joe clan! And I will never forget how you lovingly helped us through a difficult time our family had earlier this year. Even though we shed tears when you left us, we knew that your time to be...
