Brenda Lancaster Price

Brenda Price, age 71, of Forest City, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born November 3, 1943 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Claudus O.L. Lancaster and Mildred Irene Waldrop Lancaster. She worked for Fieldcrest Mill for several years and was a past member of Alexander Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, fishing and especially spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, David Price, Sr. and one sister, Betty Jean Thompson. Survivors include one daughter, Tracy Price; son, David Price, Jr. and wife, Regina all of Rutherfordton; two brothers, Claude Wayne Lancaster and wife, Mary of Yadkinville, NC and Charles Lancaster and wife, Sandra of Forest City. She is also survived by three grandchildren, David Gene Price III, Joshua Lynden Price and Lanis Siobhan Price; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Conard, Alexander Price, Sophia Conard and Owen Price. Funeral services will be conducted at two o'clock on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. At other times they will be gathered at 277 Lancaster Drive, Forest City.
