Brenda SMITH

Brenda was a wonderful person, she helped me pass math and was one of my biggest cheerleaders. She will be missed.

We were friends and neighbors and thought the world of her. She was such a kind and caring person. She shared her beautiful flower bulbs with us. We will always remember her especially in the spring when her flowers bloom in our garden. We will truly miss her. We will remember her smile most of all. Wayne and Carla

Brenda was my mentor when I first starting teaching for Miami-Hamilton in 2010. I would stop by her office before or after class just to see if she was in -- she often would stop what she was doing to chat and find out how things were going with Miami and otherwise. She always went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. No matter what she was going through, she always had a smile and a caring attitude. I have missed dropping in on her since she retired and am sorry to hear...

Brenda will be greatly missed. She was truly a solid coworker and friend. I'm still wearing the gloves (tips open for optimal typing capacity) that she made me after I complained about how cold my office is. During spring and summer she so enjoyed the Miami Community Garden, and would gather goodies for all of us. She will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, and love for Miami and our students. No one was a "lost cause" to Brenda. Her dedication to her craft was the facilitator...

Brenda, I'm sure gonna miss your bubbly face. Everyday I had class I would hop in to see you and you would just make me go from a glum mood to a happy one. I can't believe you're gone. I will miss you so much. Thank you for believing in me while I was getting my bachelor's and praying for me when I was fighting my cancer. You were the only other selfless person I had ever met besides my mom and I am blessed to have known you as a professor, a mentor, and a friend. Love you always Kelly Kaehler.

Brenda and I worked together at Miami University Hamilton. She was so welcoming and on my first of work, she picked flowers from her garden and placed them on my desk. She’ll be a joyous angel and an unforgettable educator, wife, and mother. God bless you, Brenda.

So sorry to learn of Brenda's passing. She was such a wonderful person and a great colleague at Miami Hamilton who was always incredibly dedicated to helping our students succeed. My condolences to her family - she will certainly be missed.

Mrs. Smith, her husband and 2 daughters lived nextdoor to my grandmother. I spent the weekends with my grandmother. Mrs. Smith and the whole family were so kind and I always felt welcome by their family. Cassia and Ariel are close to my age and we spent many hours playing together. Thank for for the Smith family.
