Wilson Funeral Home - Tampa Obituary

A celebration of life service for Ms. Brenda Joyce “Black” Viverette will be held Saturday November 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home 3000 North 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605 with local pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.


Brenda Joyce Viverette “Black” was born on April 4, 1965 in Tampa, Florida to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Lee and Cassie Nash Viverette. Brenda was a resident of Tampa, Florida and  she attended Leon King High School.


On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, her life came to an ultimate end while receiving care at Melech Hospice House in Tampa, Florida.


She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Lee Viverette; mother, Cassie Viverette; grandfather, J.C. Nash; aunts, Ida George, Annie Nash, Jennie Ruth and Annie Mae; uncles, T.H Viverette, Marvin Nash, Clinton Nash, John Henry and Ether Jay Viverette; sister, Ella Viverette Bagwell; brothers, Dexter Viverette, Joe Viverette, James Viverette, Tommie Lee Viverette Jr. and Sammie Viverette.


She is survived by sisters, Barbara Viverette, Cassie Viverette (Darryl), Linda Viverette and Mary Viverette; brothers, Danny Viverette, Jessie (Ball) Viverette and Antonio (Dirt) Viverette; uncle, Edward Viverette (Betty); aunt, Tessie Viverette and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Highland Pines Community.


Brenda will be remembered for her beautiful smile and nurturing heart. Children would always gravitate towards her warm spirit. She will be missed but not forgotten.


There will be a viewing on Friday November 18, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.
