'Daddy Did This With Us'
Whenever Brendan McCabe went out to business dinners, he ordered an extra dessert, took it home to his wife, Terri, and shared it with her.

Some other images from Mr. McCabe's life: holding Jane, 10 months old, while walking around the house and calling her "my gorgeous, beautiful, wonderful girl," and playing baseball and football with his sons, ages 8, 6 and 4.

When Mr. McCabe got home every evening from his job as a vice president at Franklin Templeton, the boys would stop what they were doing and run to Daddy. Jane would crawl to him, and he would scoop her up.

On Sept. 10, Mr. McCabe, 40, took the day off and played in the pool with Connor, his youngest boy. Then he called for the older boys at school and bought them cleats for soccer. "Now my kids cry themselves to sleep," Mrs. McCabe said, "because they want their daddy. They say to me, Mom, remember Daddy did this with us, Daddy did that with us."

Not sure what to say?

Brendan, I will always remember smoking cigars with you and your cousin, my brother-in-law, Chris. Now I know that Chris can be with you, and although it is probably a small comfort for those of us still here, hopefully it is a great joy for both of you.

May God continue to Bless Brendon his wife Terry and his and his beautiful children. Back in the Daniels Pub days I was going to move in and rent part of a house with Terry and Brandon and a few others, unfortunately plans fell through and I couldn’t afford to do it. But now I wish I did. Rest well my dear friend.

Today is the 20th anniversary of your death and the changing of our world. To this day I can remember where I was when it was announced that the plane hit the first tower and the screams of the radio announcer as she witnessed the second plane hit. I felt sick to my stomach.

I shared that day with friends at work in total chaos as we all were calling to find out if our family members were safe. All your family and extended family prayed for your safety. We sat watching everyday...

Dear McCabe family. I am very sorry you lost a son, a brother, a father, a husband, and a friend. Brendan and I went to high school together. He was a good man. My thoughts are with you all.

Hi McCabe Family, i am truly sorry for your loss. I did not know Brendan well but I used to take the LIRR into work every morning and I sat in the same train car as he did, He always sat with the same 2 people. I was pregnant at that time at I guess I was always running late for the train, seats were limited if you did not get there early enough. Brendan would always offer me his seat, Knowing he would have to stand for more then an hour before the train pulled into Penn Station. On that...

So sorry

What a terrific guy....We did business together, but he was first a friend. I was on the phone with him when the plane hit...I thought he simply put me on hold for another call. I will never forget the kind and generous person he was.......
