Not sure what to say?

I knew brenden Oconnell in the 1960s he went by the name of brother patrick of the patrician brothers at holy cross college and he was a beast of a man he was the most feared brother at the school he had a violent temper if you did anything to upset him god help you his face and hands used to turn blood red and he used to become violent bashing you in the head i was beaten by him on many occassions once he nearly broke my jaw in his fowl mood you might all love him but i sure dont' we boys...

I was looking through my old School photos and saw one of Mr O'Connell and decided to look him up on the internet. He was one of two teachers that changed my scholastic life and now I'm a professional. I often site him by name in social conversation mentioning this very fact. Thank you Mr O'Connell RIP and my condolences to your family. Hernan Reyes

Brendan taught me at De la Salle College Kingsgrove. 1970 to 1973 I have fond memories of him and the passion he had for teaching Math and Religion

I am so saddened by Brendan's passing. Michael Dollard informed me. We were colleagues in the late 50's and early 60's in Tullow and Galway. A wonderful athlete and human being. John O'Connor
