Brent was also my childhood friend, the brother figure I never had. Although I was like the little sister tagging along, Brent never seemed to mind and included me on all the fun and games he and my older sister Debbie had. Good times at the lake were plentiful. One of my fondest memories is pretending Planet of the Apes along the hills of Lake Lavon. Or, we would all just hang out together while the parents were having their own good times. I remember our air guitar concerts as The Beatles....

Brent and I grew up together, very much like brother and sister. I think I was four and he was three when we became fast friends. Unfortunately, we did not stay in touch over the past many years as brother and sister should, but I always thought I would see him again here. I am crushed to find out today that he left so soon. My memories of the many years we did spend together are so wonderful, fun, and sweet. We could be so silly, liked to sing together, and had a great time water...

My husband & I became acquainted with Brent after ya'll purchased the marina. Brent always helped us when we rented boat stalls, and always took the time to talk, and make us feel welcome. It was evident he loved the Lodge & Marina, and was always so concerned about the business, especially with the problems we have experienced with the golden algae and the lake levels.
