Brent Allen Herman, age 56, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024.
Brent, also known to some as “Herm Daddy,” was a life-long resident of Slidell, LA where he graduated from Slidell High School. He later served in the LA Army National Guard at Camp Villere (Slidell) while attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Brent was the owner/operator of Acadian Tree and Stump Service, a very successful business that he built from the ground up.
Brent loved his family and his friends, especially a couple of High School buddies that he remained close to - "Bayou Boys.” He also loved fishing and enjoyed watching Saints and LSU football games. Brent was loved by everyone. If you knew him, you knew he was a special kind of character, one that you would most likely never meet again.
Brent is survived by his father, Harold Herman; his two brothers, Mark Herman (Linda) and John Herman (Darlene); his two sisters, Gwen Roper (Robbie) and Gaye Ictech. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews (Ashley, Matthew, Chloe, Gabrielle, Gavin, Chase, and Saxon). Brent will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. Brent is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Herman.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Interment will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.

I’m very sorry for the loss of your brother, Brent. This is John Maddox with Maddox Tree Services, and I shared jobs with Brent. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed. I was married on the 26th in Arkansas, and was unable to attend his funeral.
