I worked with Brent at Borgess Medical Center. We had offices in the same location. He was a pleasure to work with and always in a great mood. I did get the chance to hear him sing and he has a wonderful voice. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My gratitude for your friendship, and prayers for your family and friends continue today.

Brent was a wonderful person to work with. It was a pleasure to know him and his family. My condolences to all who loved him.

Many years have passed but you were always a good guy.

I met Brent through my friend and (former) fellow bandmate Kevin Johnston. Unfortunately, it has been several years since I have been to the lodge so I have not seen Brent for some time, however, I do recall a couple of times at the lodge where Brent would arrive and unload his car guitar, bag of other small instruments and his karaoke machine. It was usually Saturday night after we all had spent the day doing arts and crafts, downing a big meal and then laying around trying to recoup from...

Brent and I graduated about the same time with our Masters degrees and I remember being in ethics courses where we discussed really tough issues that were bound in conflict. Brent, always the optimist, would find a solution from his heart and his mind. I will miss his ever-positive presence.

I'll never forget when I first heard Brent sing. It was his first performance with Allegan's Cabaret Band several years ago. When he belted out "New York, New York", the crowd went wild. He was a wonderful performer. I knew him through two different community projects and will always be grateful for his creative approach to problems, his vast knowledge of the world of fundraising, and his ever-present positive attitude.
