Brent Andrew Ludwig (Orland Park), age 34, passed away suddenly on August 12, 2014, while hiking, which he loved to do. Beloved husband and best friend of Dana (Parry) Ludwig; loving son of Jim and Pat (Mochel) Ludwig (Homer Glen); amazing brother of Brad (Ellen) (Downers Grove); grandson of the late John and Phyllis Ludwig and Wilbert and Ethel Mochel; ideal son-in-law of Bob and Mona (Kaufman) Parry (Homer Glen); cherished brother-in-law of Nathan (Jeana) Parry (Plainfield) and Katie (Dan) Renz (North Aurora); adored uncle of Andrew Parry, Evelyn and Harrison Renz; treasured cousin and nephew of many; genuine friend to many; and the go-to guy for so many people. Thoughtful, dependable, hilarious, generous, and creative but logical. Architect, lover of animals (Roxy and Keeley), 15.1 handicap golfer, and an instant friend to all those he met. Visitation Sunday, August 17, 2014, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont, IL 60439. Dana - I just heard the sad news and I cannot imagine the heartache you must feel about your sudden loss. Accidents like those are hard to take. May you find peace in in the memories of Brent and that he is in a good place looking down on you. My sympathy to you and your family.

I did not know Brent and know only of this accident because it occurred very close to where live here on Mt Hood...I was just shocked and so sad to hear this...I cant even imagine what you are going through..I have been thinking about this person who I dont even know for weeks now...You are all in my thoughts and prayers

As you know I've worked with Brent for many years and was truly devastated to hear of Brent's passing. We've lost a wonderful, kind and all around great guy. My prayers are with all of you.

Him and his wife came into my starbucks quite often enough I noticed their tenderness, adorableness and kindness. I was so shocked and saddened by this news and i have nothing to offer but positive vibes and strength to his wife and family. i am so sorry.
