Another Holiday season is upon us dear brother. Not a day goes by and I suspect a day will never go by that I won´t think about you and dad. Man, we had fun growing up and being brothers. I love you so much and pray you are doing well in Heaven. I´m sure Jeff Crosby is happy to have his old buddy.

Dear Brett, I know you´re in a better place and out of pain but i am crushed . Brett, to the guy who when we were neighbors and I saw how you trained at 15yrs old in your garage , you were way ahead of everyone else, to the MANY 200yd rushing games you had your Sophomore yr, I really knew you were THE MAN on campus . Dear Family, I didn´t know Brett, but I am a Beyer Alumni. Brett certainly was an amazing person despite his disabilities. I will be lighting a candle for him and you. My prayers are for Brett and strength for you!!!

I was a Senior football cheerleader and athlete; Brett was a sophomore and monster football player. Everyone knew of his speed and agility as an athlete, making the pending events all the more incomprehensible. I was at the lake that day, many of us were. And, I went to visit him those first few weeks at VMC ICU. Then, walking on the UC Berkeley campus one day, who do I run into?
