Not sure what to say?

On this 10-year mark of Brett's passing-- I am seeing how, more and more, heaven is becoming increasingly populated with friends and loved ones, more so than amid our short lives on earth. I remember you, Brett -- and may the glories of the presence of Christ and the promise of the saints surround you. Remember us, who still struggle with the trials and struggles of earth.

Sending thoughts and prayers for his family and friends on the anniversary of his death. May the Lord give them comfort and peace.

I remember playing with Brett as kids. It was in Lexington, We lived just a few doors up the road. We played with our Star Wars toys, which was around the late 70's! I'm still living in Lexington, but every time I go by that house, I recall memories of Brett, and Bob, Suzanne. I happned to be watching Star Wars with my daughter, and thought of Brett, so I googled his name, and was shocked to see this! I'm so sorry I didn't know! My condolences and prayers for everyone in the family!

I am so sad to hear of Brett's passing. I have so many good memories of our time traveling and competing with our bikes. Brett was one of the smartest, most talented people I've ever known.

I remember seeing Brett at BMX contests and in bmx videos. Very sad to see he passed. He was a great bmx rider and a nice person. So glad he made the most out of life.

I knew Brett from his time in Boston: we first connected at Park Street and then quickly discovered we both went to BU. From there we found our mutual love of English and poetry. He was a tremendous blessing of friendship for that season of my life: a real kindred soul, witty, goofy, and sharp in equal measure. Anise and family, Kelli and I send you our love and our prayers. May God give you a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Flashback to Blue Hole, the Cabin circa mid 1990s - a gathering of family and friends. We five settle into the evening on the front porch, post-dinner, post-card game, the ubiquitous white noise comfort of the 'crick' behind us; that source of serenity, that muse of the Laurel Mountains. I ask Brett to read us some poetry - he cheerfully obliges settled in his chair with soft voice and easy cadence that brings complement to the water rushing and crickets chirping. And to my novice ear I...
