Mr. Brett Thomas Gibbs, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 35 years. He was born on September 21, 1988 in Portland, OR, to the late Mr.Thomas Vaughn and Ms. Angie Gibbs. 


Brett was united in marriage to Elizabeth Mischlispy on November 11, 2011. They have spent the last 16 years together. He worked in the construction industry for many years. Brett loved to try new restaurants and new foods. He enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his family. One of his favorite places was Branson. He also enjoyed honking his horn while driving through New York City. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Brett had a huge heart and would always go out of his way to help someone in need.  Brett's greatest joy came from his children. His children were his entire life. He loved each of them deeply and loved spending as much time with each of them as possible. Brett was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, son, and brother. 


Brett Gibbs was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Vaughn; his grandparents, Lester Gibbs, Pamela Oberkrom and Dee Mason; one aunt, Diane Ryan. Brett is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gibbs; his children, Landen Gibbs, Drake Gibbs, Blaine Gibbs, Brettlin Gibbs and Paisley Gibbs; his parents, Angie and James O'Donnell; four siblings, Ryan O'Donnell, Caitlin O'Donnell, Briana Gibbs, Kelsey O'Donnell and Ben Mason; aunts, Bridgette Gibbs and Audra McDermott; uncle, Robert Gibbs; other relatives and many friends.


They family of Brett Gibbs will host a Celebration of his Life, with a visitation on Friday November 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. There will then be a funeral service celebrating Brett's life on Saturday, November 25, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM. A burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery. I just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear about Brett's passing..... as I just found out this morning. What a wonderful young man he was and he was taken way too soon. His children are in my prayers as well as his mom, dad and the rest of the family who I know is sufferimg due to this tragic loss..... my heart is hurting for u all....... and I am sure we can all keep his memories alive and we will never forget this beautiful soul..... sending much love and tons of prayers to...
