Mattingly Funeral Home - Loretto Obituary

Bria Ava-Lyn Miles, age 15 of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, October27, 2024 at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville.  She was born February 26, 2009 in Louisville.  She was a Sophomore Student at Larue County High School.  She attended First Baptist Church of Hodgenville.


“Sweet beautiful baby girl.  Our imaginative, creative, beautiful soul.  Your big beautiful eyes, your gorgeous smile, your silly face, your art.  We will miss everything and love you forever”


She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tommy Miles and her aunt, Avery Lucas. 


Survivors include her parents, James and Tracy Miles Lucas of Hodgenville, six siblings, Brycen Miles, Violet Lucas, Aris Lucas, Vivian Lucas, James Lucas II, and Evelyn Lucas, all at home; one half-sister, Tiera Johnson; her grandparents, Janice Miles (Joe Crews) of Loretto, Angelia Lucas of Louisville, and David & Sheila Johnson of Bardstown; her aunts and uncle, Lisa Miles (Ken Mattingly) of Louisville, Augusta Johnson of Bardstown and Alex & Tony Dickinson of Louisville.   


A celebration of the life of Bria Ava-Lyn Miles will be held at 7 pm Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Bro. Rodney Rogers will officiate.  Cremation will follow the service.


The visitation is 3-7 pm Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Bria was and still is a really good friend of mine. I can somewhat understand what the family is going through. Losing her has put me through so much since I found out and i’m sure it’s done the same for the family. Condolences.
