Not sure what to say?

Erin,

I had never met your Dad, but had emailed back and forth with him on the Washington Arsenal fire. Steve H. notified me of his passing. It's funny how you can feel a sense of loss for someone you've never me. Hopefully his manuscript will make it into book form. That would be perhaps the ultimate tribute to him. Again, my sincere condolences to your family.

Brian was a fine guy and a great neighbor. My regret is not getting to know him better than I did. The tributes here reveal him as an interesting, kind and thoughtful man. May God rest his soul, and may God bring comfort to Brian's family and friends.

Brian was a dear friend and neighbor in Arlington. I had not been in touch with him for a couple of years as our paths took each of us away from the beautiful green courtyard at Colonial Village. However when we were neighbors I always enjoyed hearing about his adventures in the great outdoors, Daughter Erin, the grandchildren, Sister Pat, Sister Colleen and Brother Bill - he talked of you often. I frequently ran into Brian on the sidewalk or as he was packing his car with freshly baked pies...

Erin and family,

You know that we are thinking of you and that we are so sorry about the passing of your dad Brian. He was an interesting man,and so proud of you Erin, and all you have accomplished. We love you and are thinking and praying for you. Let people take care of you,and just soak up all the great things they will say about him.
Love Mike and Alison (Windsor, ONT)

To Brians Family: Brian and I were in the same home room all four years of high school.. He was always so nice and kind. It is always sad when I read of one of our classmates passing on. May God Bless His family and let them hold all the great memories of Brian close to there heart. May He Rest In Peace Amen

My name is Donna Christian and I worked with Brian in the ULLICO Inc. Law Dept. Brian was a very dear, kind, funny, generous, intelligent and wonderful man. He spoke of his wonderful daughter, son in-law and grandchildren often. And we heard many lovely stories about Brother Bill and Sister Pat. We have all missed him since he began his retirement. My most sincere condolences to your entire family.

To Brian's family, I am so sorry to hear of his death. We knew each other in high school here in Grand Rapids. He was friends of my brother Tom Fodor (deceased in 1989). Brian and I even dated for a high school minute. I remember him as so funny and great to be around. Each time I was in the Washington, DC area I thought of contacting him and now regret that I never did. I will forever cherish my memories of our younger days.

My name is Beverly Calvert and I knew Brian through our mutual friend, Janie Berkheimer, and through country-western dancing at Blackie's in Springfield, VA, in the 90s. He was a really nice and fun person and a great dancer. I'm so sorry to hear of his recent death. It's really shocking. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
