Brian David Berry

Dear Susanne, when I read this news today it came as such a shock. I had sent Brian an email this morning which bounced back, and then when searching for a way to contact, I found this obituary.
Annette and I send our heartfelt condolences. We have had Brian and yourself very much in our thoughts and prayers these past months.

Brian Berry's gentleness and graciousness made you forget what a perceptive and incisive theologian he was. I have not seen him or Susanne for some years. I am so sad to learn of his death. My heart goes out to Susanne and his family.

Dr. Berry was my teacher when I was a student at the Ecumenical Institute at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore and later was my colleague when I joined the E.I faculty. Brian was an inspirational teacher. In his gentle, kind, and compassionate manner, his faith shone brightly. I was saddened to read of his passing in the Baltimore Sun, and I extend my deepest sympathy to all his family. Roxanne Maffitt
