Brian Kenneth Braaten

Such beautiful pictures. You can see the love on your faces and your embrace. I recently loss my grandma. Time helps heal only when you use it by fortifying yourself spiritually. Prayer is important for it helps you heal from the inside out. May God give the family strength and comfort.

I’m not sure if he ever fully knew it when he was with us, but Mr. Braaten was somebody I looked up to very much. He was the closest thing I had to a father figure in my adult years, and I miss him every day.

Thinking about Brian, today, on his birthday, February 12. I knew him as a child, he was my older cousin. Fun, funny, mischievous, and very warm and welcoming. My dad, Kenneth Braaten, had a great affection for Uncle Art, Aunt Jean and all his children. We were lucky to live in BC for a year and get to know Brian really well in the late 60s.
