My son is a Navy Medic and served with the the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade out of Camp Lejeune, N.C. in 2003.

His Battalion was heavily attacked when it went into Nasiriyah, March 23, 2003. Eighteen men in his Battalion were killed on that fateful day, and many more were wounded.

I will never forget March 23, 2003 ... and your son, who remains in my heart. I have his picture saved...along with the other...
