Brian Carroll

My deepest sympathies go out to the Carroll Family. I was blessed to make the varsity baseball team as a Freshman --- this meant that I was around and was influenced by Mr. Carroll's solid and positive mentorship for my 4 years at PHS --- years in a young male's life that are so important. I also had Mr. Carroll as an English teacher in the 11th grade. My deep love for American Literature came from 11th grade with Mr. Carroll, and I was later blessed to be his colleague at PHS in the English department. Brian was a gifted lecturer, passionate scholar, and a generous educator who readily shared methods and techniques. His storytelling was second to none and there was nothing like his laugh! My deepest condolences to the family - I am in TN but otherwise would be there to pay my respects to a truly great man.
