Though I never had the opportunity to meet Brian, through Greg I knew him to be a devoted husband, son, father, and brother. In a world where we all seem to be too busy or spread too far apart, Brian recognized the importance of bringing family back together. It was a shock to see the news of Brian's passing in Sunday's Tribune. Although it has been a long time since we've seen each other, I wanted you to know that my prayers and thoughts are with you.

As a long-ago friend of Brian's, I remember his intense creativity and talent, his zest and love of life, and never ending commitment to his mother and family. I'm sure none of that has waned over the years... and his passing is a loss to all.
