Not sure what to say?

Brian,
It has been six weeks now that you’ve been gone. These have been the longest six weeks of our lives. We have not yet figured out the best way to carry on without you.

We have heard from so many people who loved you, and we are continually amazed at how far your reach extended and how many lives you touched. We already knew what you meant to us, and it has been so good for us to hear what you meant to so many others. We have received cards and letters from people...

To the Dyk family-

Through the death of Brian, I have come to know him a bit. Although I did not know him personally, the words of a dear friend who knew him so well has brought him to life. He must have been a wonderful guy! He touched so many lives. May God give you His peace.

Brian meant more to me than words can express. He was a spark in my life and in my day for the past year and a half. His kind heart, witty personality, and fun spirit had us becoming close friends after a short time of knowing each other. I have never met someone who smiled so much and loved life as much as Brian. He made my life more fun simply by being in it. Life without Brian is painful even though I know he is in paradise. I miss him so much and long to share crazy moments with him. I...

I knew Brian may years ago when i worked with him at Harbinger/Touchstone. He was a very kind and caring person with many special talents. I was very shocked to hear of his death, but i know he is now in the arms of our creator, where he will watch over his loving family for eternity. my deepest sympathy to his family and closest friends.

I hold a young heart, gently
That’s filled with confusion and pain
With tears in oceans of blueness
Questions, whose answers I can’t explain

She struggles to find a reason
Why his life just slipped away
The heartbeat that now is silent
A breath never again to be released

She speaks of his laugh and his smile
The corny jokes and crazy ties
A “geek”, a prankster, a teacher
One who taught the Science of Life

He held...

I don't really know if i can sum him up..he was the dorkiest person in the world..My friends and i were at his house like all summer. We spaghettied his lawn..and did many other things..
i had him last year for science. Even when i tried there was no way i could talk about science with out a smile..he had big place in my heart.
We know you are in heaven getting all your science questions answered.
We will miss you always and forever until we see you again.

As a parent of a former athlete on the Grand Rapids Eagles Sports team I was deeply saddened by Brian's death. He always made the kids feel special and valued. It was his special gift from our Creator. Brian always had a smile and a laugh for us. He left behind wonderful parents and two great brothers. We are assured through Jesus Christ that we will see him again in Heaven!

Even though we didn't know Brian very well, he will be missed in our church community. He always had a brightness about him and was always smiling. As we all mourn his passing, may we remember that while tragic for us...he doesn't have to be bothered with any of the things of this earth. He is with Jesus and we should be happy that he is home with his father.
The family and friends are in our daily thoughts and prayers.

What can I say? Brian was an amazing person. I considered him a mentor for the many years that I was on our sports team. He will be greatly missed and he will be remembered for all the great lives he has touched. Thanks again for all the fun times you gave us Brian.
