Not sure what to say?

I was reflecting on life lessons and those that made an impression on me, Brian came to my mind. Having known him as kids, I spent years with him laughing, joking, and observing. He was someone that I can honestly say taught me more about joy than most other people I have known. Joy isn´t something that is dependent on external circumstances, but it is an internal resolve to find happiness even when things don´t go your way. Things didn´t go Brian´s way as far as his health, but he was joyful...

Truly an unforgettable sweet, kind, sensitive young man surrounded by the most compassionate, faithful parents. Sending love and peace, Nita RN

Brian and family left an unforgettable imprint of love on our hearts. His love, courage, compassion and friendship will always be remembered.

It was an unforgettable special privilege to help support your care of Brian at home. He blessed so many lives by his kind and compassionate spirit. My heart is with you Nita RN

Jim and Elaine Brian is often on my mind as I remember all he taught me as I was his caregiver. Recently, he has especially been on my mind as have the two of you. He left to be finally fully healed and rejoicing with our Savior and while you honored his choice what a change his going home has meant for you and your home! I pray for you often and will continue to do so as you move forward knowing your amazing son is watching over you.

Brian was amazing!! While he could have complained or been depressed because of his condition he made the choice to focus on the positives!
As a new nurse I had the privilege of caring for Brian for 2 1/2 years. When I moved out of state to be closer to family telling him was one of the hardest times. His response” I will miss you but family always come first.”
I learned so much from him, and he was definitely a shining light to me and many others.
I picture him whole, free...

Brian was a joy to be around and always made people feel comfortable in spite of his unique situation. Jim and Elaine. Thank you for living your journey out loud so that all of us could benefit by watching your big and mighty God carry you through in a beautiful and bold way! We are praying for you.

Brian was a little boy (5, I believe) in a picture that his mom brought to our MDA telethon at Portside Festival Marketplace. Elaine came up to me and said "This is my son. He has muscular dystrophy." Before the next telethon rolled around I'd met Brian and his family and they became fixtures in our annual effort to fight this disease. Brian became my friend for years. So bright. So upbeat. Such an inspiration. Elaine and Jim adopted me and my wife, Teri, into their family,...

Brian had a great smile and sense of humor! He touched my life and the lives of so many. His zest for life was incredible! I was so blessed to have taken care of him, but more then that, I am blessed to call Brian my friend. He will forever be missed. Love you Bri
