GLEASON, BRIAN A. Grand Blanc Age 53, passed away in his sleep at home on Friday, June 13, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father James R. Swiat officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Pet Therapy Program or the Humane Society of Genesee County. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Brian was born in Peoria, Illinois on July 10, 1960, the son of Barney and Barb (Reefer) Gleason. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1978. Brian worked for the Grand Blanc Department of Public Works for 30 years. He volunteered for the Grand Blanc Township Fire Department. He loved golfing, boating, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Red Wings fan and Detroit Tigers fan. Surviving are mother, Barb; sister, Anna and husband Stanley Hong; nephews, Michael John Gleason and Nicholas Hong;step-daughters, Brandi and Brooke Adams; uncle, Bill and Ann Duncan; aunt, Margaret Reefer; several cousins, special friends, Mike Meythaler and Danny Chalker; numerous other close friends, including the Grand Blanc Township staff; beloved dog, Bacon. He was preceded in death by father, Barney Gleason in 1976; sister, Rebecca Ann in 1964; brother, Bart in 1984; aunt, Norma Braun; two uncles, Bill and Jim Reefer.Your condolences may be shared with the family at www.swartzfuneralhomeinc.com

Wow, hard to believe it´s been 8 years. We miss you bubba! God has a beautiful Angel. Love, Mike & Shari.

I went to grade school with Brian at Holy Family. He was a kind and gentle soul. I left Michigan for high school and never got the chance to re meet as adults . By reading these tributes it sounds as though he lived a wonderful life and was loved by allot of people. What a testament to a life well lived!

So sorry to here about Bryan. We had some good times at the pink marina. I will always remember you.

I don't think I ever saw Brian without a smile on his face. He was a great guy who will be missed by all.
