Not sure what to say?

I am Sorry to learn of Brian's Passing.I had been a friend of His from New Bedford and lost track of him when he left the area.To the family my deepest regards and prayers are with you. Brian and I spoke often about philosophy and music in the past.Brian was integrity. He is at rest.Peace and love with you all.

To Brian's Family. I had the distinct pleasure of calling Brian my friend and colleage since his arrival at UMass Memorial in 2005. He was truly a great man who made every single day a better day. We could tell stories for hours about working with your dad. He was a kind and gentle man with a big heart. The book Tuesdays with Morrie which Brian and I had both read and discussed stated that "death ends a life but not a relationship" that is how I feel about my friend. An unknown author...

I spent a small amount of time across the table from Brian negotiating contracts and other union matters. He was always respectfull and fair. His direct no nonsence style was a welcome change to the usual "dance".

May his family be comforted by the fact that he is at peace now, after a life of faith and service to others!May his good deeds go with him.

To Brian's children and their families and Brenda-I worked with Brian while representing UMass Memorial on labor matters. Brian became a friend who I played golf with several times and shared dinners. We even tried to get together in FL a couple of times. Brian was always tough on the outside but sweet on the inside. He was a great guy who will remain in my thoughts for a long time. My condolences to all of you. He was much too young to leave us. Tom Smith

Kevin & Steven, I an so sorry to hear about your dad. I wish I could be at the visiting hours to give you both a hug, but I will be out of town. know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am sadden by the passing of Brian. May his family find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Brian you will be greatly missed by Bob and I and your friends in Florida. We had a lot of fun and laughs together and will be greatly missed. May your family find comfort and peace, and you are now at peace with God.

Keep hitting 'em long and straight BH; you will sorely missed.

A donation has been made to WGBH in Brian's name.
