Brian Jones Obituary

The World lost a beacon of light on January 25, 2019, when Brian Anthony Jones was taken by a tragic motor vehicle accident. Brian was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on Sept-ember 5, 1971 along with his twin brother, Adam Leo Jones. Brian and Adam were born two months early to Adam and Marilyn Jones and at the time were not expected to live. Both babies showed the world what they were made of and grew up to be strong, capable men. Brian's family moved to Monroe, WA, in 1979 and he lived in Monroe, a town that he loved, for the rest of his life. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1989. Brian started his career at the young age of twelve as a shop hand in his Dad's company. With pride he worked his way up to General Foreman in the Iron Workers Local 86, a job that he loved. He took great pride in his profession. The comradery he felt with his fellow Iron Workers was one of the great joys of his life. He was famous for being a hard worker and always pulling more than his share of the load. At the same time, he was also known as a great teacher, both by example and thru patient instruction. He played impor-tant roles in the construction of many iconic Washington structures, including Safeco Field, Everett's Angel of the Winds Arena, The Seattle Central Library, Seattle's Children and Swedish Hospitals and countless other structures throughout Alaska, California and Oregon. Brian had a great zest for life and was loved by everyone he met. You could always count on him to lighten even the most tense of situations with a big smile and his charming wit. Brian loved golf, music, movies, hiking, camping, water sports, snowboarding, dancing, the sun and the outdoors, but most of all his family. All the long hours he spent at a very physically intense job were all for the good of his family, especially his two children, Logan and Brianne. When his loved ones were asked for words to describe Brian, the same adjectives came up again and again: hardworking, kind, soft hearted, honest, loyal, generous, light hearted, easy going, forgiving, loving, fun and the incredible ability to always see the best in people. Brian leaves behind his heartbroken family, children, Logan and Brianne Jones, and their mother, Denise Jones; Brian's mother, Marilyn Larson (Doug), father, Adam Jones (April): brothers, Parnelli Jones and Adam Jones , sisters, Dawn Henson and Michelle Crow (Don); nephews, Michael Jones and Jordan Jones and nieces, Jessica Corona, Jennifer Flores and Kiana Jones. In lieu of flowers please share written stories or photos of Brian. Please join us to celebrate Brian's life on Saturday February 9, 2019 starting at 11:30 a.m. at one of Brian's favorite places, The Blue Boy West Golf Course, 27927 Florence Acres Rd., Monroe WA. Please dress for an out-door/indoor venue.

I never saw Brian without that great big smile of his. He was always a delight to be around; such a positive, fun force. He was a great kid, always treated me with respect, and showed a great love for children. I have such respect for Brian! I pray comfort for all of his family & friends in this horrific loss.
