Debbie, Shealan and Brendan: Brian talked me into coaching in the NBA having seen my sidelines cheering (which was all I thought I was qualified for!). He convinced me I'd be a great coach for my young girls (who are now 18 and 20) and their teammates. Brian worked behind the scenes to help me and always had a smiling face and encouraging word for me. Debbie, Shealan, Brendan and the extended Kelly clan. Brian was an original and as such, he'll be remembered by all that knew him. He unselfishly helped coach, referee and participate in the management of the Needham Basketball Association for 18 years.

He often reached out to us to check on how the program was doing since the family relocated from the area. He was masterful in working with young children and his sense of humor was the best. He will be missed.

Debbie, Shealan, Brendan and the extended Kelly Clan - Brian was a very unique individual. His work with children in our basketball program here in Needham was unparalleled. He unselfishly spent 18 seasons in a gym working with our young players and helping us manage our program.

He loved working with children and had a personal style unlike anyone else. His unique sense of humor and comraderie are greatly missed.

Debbie, no words can say how sorry I am for the loss of Brian. I didn't know him well but it was obvious to everyone what a great guy he was and how much he loved you. Peace through this difficult time.

As you all know, Brian made an impression on everyone he met. He was my mentor and my friend. He was the guy that had to have the last word and had to be right!
